How do I contact you?
We can be contacted by phone, email, or walk-in. Our customer inquiry email address is contactus@metrogroup.com. We may be reached by phone at (801)328-2051.
How does the process work?
Recycling with the Metro Group is simple. Bring your materials to either location. For small loads, pull directly up to the loading dock and our friendly support staff will weigh your materials and give you a payment ticket. For large loads pull onto the scale located adjacent to the office. After your weight has been recorded you will be instructed where to take your material. Take your purchase ticket back to the office and they will pay you.
Do you sell any metal (car parts) to the public?
Unfortunately we do not resell any items, including car parts, that have been brought in by other patrons.
Do you provide containers or pick-up scrap metal?
We do offer a container service for clients that are working on clean-up projects and for those that produce a significant amount of material on a frequent basis. To get more information about what options are available please contact us or visit the Containers page on this site.
Why should I recycle my metal?
Recycling has many benefits. It is a great way to secure the availability of our natural resources for future generations. Recycling also provides cleaner air and water by safely removing potentially hazardous materials and keeping them out of our landfills. By bringing your materials to Metro Group, you get money back in your own wallet instead of having to pay landfill fees.
Where does the metal go after I bring it in?
The material that we recieve is shipped to local, national, and international mills. The materials are melted down and then used to create new products.
What should I do if I have material stolen from me?
First, alert the proper authorities. Then contact us with a description of the material. The sooner we know about it the better chance we have of catching it if it is brought to us.
